Stephen will be entering his second year in the Queen’s Commerce program this fall. He is currently the Portfolio Manager for the Financial Institutions Group sector.
In the summer of 2015, Stephen completed an internship at CIBC in the enterprise risk management division. There, he was tasked to brainstorm and eventually lead in the creation of a quantitative model for the bank to use as a method for forecasting future P&L items given certain stress scenarios.
In the previous summer, Stephen had the opportunity to work at a Toronto based fund of funds with assets exceeding $1 billion. It was there where he learned the fundamentals of buy-side trading. In addition to his academic endeavours, Stephen enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, and is interested in American and international politics, anthropology, economics, and writing.
